Question 897106: A car has an initial speed of 20 m/s and an acceleration of -1 m/s^2. How far has the car traveled after the first 10 seconds?
I am wondering if I did this problem correctly. I used the formula: x=(Vi)(t)+1/2at^2.
I then put in x=(20m/s)(10s)+1/2(-1m/s^2)(10s)^2
x=200 meters+1/2(-1)(100s)^2
x=200 meters + 50 meters
x=250 meters traveled after first 10 seconds.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
v%5Bi%5D=20 m/s, initial speed or velocity
a=-1 m/s^2

Using x for distance moved in time t seconds,
