You can put this solution on YOUR website! First, set up your problem:
(80 miles/60 minutes)=(8 miles/x minutes)
Now cross multiply:
8*60 = 80x
480 = 80x
Solve:
(480/80) = x
6 = x
So, it would take 6 minutes to drive 8 miles if a car is going 80 miles an hour.
