You can put this solution on YOUR website!

rita is 3 years younger than rosa. six years from now, the sum of their ages will be 35. how old are they now?

Let Rosa's age be = x
Rita's age will be = x-3
six years later their ages will be x+6 and x-3+6
But given sum of their ages = 35 (after six years)
x+6+x-3+6 = 35
2x+9 = 35
2x = 35-9
2x = 26
x = 26/2 = 13
Therefore Rosa's present age = 13 yrs

and Rita's present age = 10 yrs
