2)-2x+5> there is supposed to me a line under> -2x+5> -12

Subtract 9
4 < 2x
Divide by 2
2 < x or
x > 2

Use >= for that.
-2x+5>= -12
Add 2x
5 >= 2x - 12
Add 12
17 >= 2x
8.5 >= x
x <= 8.5

3)1/4x+9<2
Subtract 9
(1/4)x < -7
x < -28
PS Use parentheses to make it clear you mean (1/4)x and not 1/(4x)

5x > 4x for x > 0, ie, positive values of x
Not clear what you mean about a & b, I don't see the relevance.

If you don't have a thorough understanding of the subject, the kids will burn you.
You can avoid that if you tell them up front that you'll do your best but you're not great at math. Kids are ruthless, watch out.
