| Question 892458: If you took a quiz with 10 questions, and there were 5 possible answers per question, with one right answer per question, what is the probability that you would get 100% on the quiz. (you are guessing on each answer)
Our teacher also asked for us to pick the closest probability to the right answer:
 A. 1/1000
 b. 1/10,000
 c. 1/100,000
 d. 1/100,000,000
I figured out that there are 50 possible choices on the test because 5x10=50 and there are 10 questions so 10/50=.2 but that is no where near any of multiple choice answers????

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you took a quiz with 10 questions, and there were 5 possible answers per question, with one right answer per question, what is the probability that you would get 100% on the quiz. (you are guessing on each answer) Our teacher also asked for us to pick the closest probability to the right answer:
 -----
Probability of getting one answer correct = 1/5
 Prob of getting 10 correct = (1/5)^10 = 0.0000001024
 which is close to 1/1,000,000
