You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In a metal alloy, the ratio of zinc to copper is 3 to 17.
If there are 476 pounds of copper, how much zinc is there?
:
let x = the multiplier
then
3x = amt of zinc
and
17x = amt of copper
therefore
17x = 476
x = 476/17
x = 28 is the multiplier
Find the zinc amt
3*28 = 84 pounds of zinc
