You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x age of woman
y age of son

NOW:
x=y%2B27

LATER:
x%2B10=2%2A%28y%2B10%29.
BOTH of them are each 10 years older.

Simplify the "later" equation; and then substitute for x and solve first for the value of y.
-
x%2B10=2y%2B20
x-2y=20-10
x-2y=10
-
%28y%2B27%29-2y=10
y%2B27-2y=10
-y%2B27=10
y-27=10
highlight%28y=37%29
