Question 891397: n(subscript 1) sin of theta (subscript 1) = n(subscript 2) sin of theta (subscript 2) solve for the second theta. I wasn't sure if sin of theta is something that's a whole and all i have to do is divide the second n and i have my answer because my teacher asked to solve for the variable in the bold print and the second theta is the only thing bold but maybe it was an error? I'm not sure. He assigned it for summer so I have no help. I'd really appreciate you clearing up my question.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let me avoid all the punctuation and subscript coding and just show your described equation as this:

um=vp using the variables in the same order as your description. You want the argument inside of p.
um%2Fv=vp%2Fv
p=um%2Fv
Since you want the input in p, you would want arcsin%28p%29=arcsin%28um%2Fv%29.
