For these questions you should use the order of operations. PEMDAS. Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication and Division from left to right, and Addition and Subtraction from left to right. Just remember Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Also this question is asking you to simplify the fractions.
#1: This turns into Find the lowest common denominator for 19 and 3/10 (10)= . Again find the lowest common denominator (20) =
You can check this by using your calculator. Most of them have the order of operation programmed in so all you have to do is put in your problem. It comes to 19.55 in decimal form. So that's the right answer.
