Question 890175: Two different lines are parallel if their slope is?
Two lines are parallel if their slope is?
What is the difference between these two statements?
If no then why they use the word "different"?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! By using "different," you're removing the case where both lines are the same. For example, if line A is defined by y = 2x + 1 and line B is defined by 2y - 4x = 2, they have the same slope, but they're not parallel (parallel lines, by definition, do not intersect in the plane).
