You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a father is 7 times his daughter age. In 5 years time he will be 4 times his daughters age. How old is each one
---------
Equations:
f = 7d
f+7 = 4(d+7)
----
Substitute for "f" and solve for "d"::
7d+7 = 4d + 28
3d = 21
d = 7 yrs (daughter's age now)
f = 7d = 49 yrs (father's age now)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f=7*d and f+5=4*(d+5)
d=5 f=35

7 and 49 do not work out
4*(7+5) is not 49+5
4*12 is not 54
