Question 888089: The population of panda decreases by 5% every year. There are currently 1 600 panda residing in China. Arthika says p(t)=1600(0.05)^t will model the given situation, where p (t) represents the population of pandas and represents the number of years from now. Unfortunately, the model is incorrect. How can we CHANGE the situation such that Arthika’s model IS correct?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The 0.05 should be 1-0.05 = 0.95

So the equation should be p(t) = 1600(0.95)^t

and this accurately models the annual 5% decrease in population.
