two years ago john was twice as old as jude. in 4 years the sum of their age will be 30. how old are they now?
***
2 yrs ago:
x=jude's age
2x=john's age
..
In 4 yrs:
x+6=jude's age
2x+6=john's age
x+6+2x+6=30
3x=18
x=6
2x=12
..
jude's age now=x+2=8
john's age now=2x+2=14
