You can put this solution on YOUR website!
solve 70/y+3=10
-------
Your problem is one of the following::
1st:: (70/y)+3= 10
Subtract 3 from both sides to get:
(70/y) = 7
----
Multiply both sides by y/70 to get:
1 = 7(y/70)
---
Reduce the right side to get:
y/10 = 1
---
Multiply both sides by 10 to get:
y = 10
===================================
2nd: 70/(y+3) = 10
---
Multiply both sides by y+3 to get:
70 = 10(y+3)
Divide both sides by 10 to get:
7 = y+3
Subtract 3 from both sides to get
y = 4
=========
Comment::Please use parenthese so there is less
ambiguity in interpreting your problem.

You want to get "y" on one side all by itself
so first get rid of the 3
by subtracting the 3 from both sides.
then bring the y over to the side that the 10 is on. How??
