Question 886161: The measure of ∠A is 25° more than three times the measure of ∠B. The sum of their measures is 165°. Find
m ∠A
and
m ∠B. Answer by basketball1127(19) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let x = measure of ∠A
Given that,
∠A = 3∠B + 25° and
∠A + ∠B = 165°
x = 3∠B + 25°
x + ∠B = 165°
Substituting,
(3∠B+25°)+∠B = 165°
4∠B+25° = 165°
4∠B = 165°-25°
4∠B = 140°
∠B = 35°
∠A + ∠B = 165°
∠A + 35° = 165°
∠A = 165°-35°
∠A =130°
