Question 885754: the measures of two angles are in the ratio 4:5 .The larger of the two angles is 60 less than twice the smaller angle.Find the measure of the angle.Are the angles complementary or supplementary? Answer by basketball1127(19) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let 4x= measure of smaller angle
5x= measure of larger angle
Then
5x=2(4x)-60°
5x=8x-60°
8x-5x=60°
3x=60°
x=20°
smaller angle = 4x = 4(20°) = 80°
larger angle= 5x = 5(20°) = 100°
100°+80°=180°
Therefore the angles are supplementary
