Question 885422: Ok so I need to know how to solve this type of question, I'm homeschooled and this topic of sine, cosine and tangent really confused me. Here's the question:
Given: cscX=13/5
Find: secX • tanX
So basically, given: cosecant beta (or X) equals thirteen over five
Find secant beta (X) times tangent beta (X)
I could use some help. I hope I was clear. Thank you. Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Given: cscX=13/5
Find: secX • tanX
------------
csc(x) = 13/5 --> sin(x) = 5/13
---
----------------
sec*tan = (1/cos)*(sin/cos) = sin/cos^2
= (5/13)/(12/13)^2 = 5*13^2/(12*13)
= 65/12
