You can put this solution on YOUR website! Assuming passing is 60,
(60% * 50 ) + (40% * x ) = 60
where x is the score on the provincial exam
(0.60*50)+(0.40*x) = 60
( 30 ) + ( 0.40x) = 60
add -30 to each side
0.40x = 30
divide each side by 0.40
x = 30/0.40 = 75
So if 60 is passing you need a 75
If passing is a different number,
the process is the same, just substitue
the passing number for 60
