Question 882334: i have a cylinder where diamter is 6 yd and slant height is 10 yds...what is the volume?
I know v=pi*r squared * height ....radius is half of diamter which would be 3...so it's 3.14 * 9 *height...I am stuck

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
i have a cylinder where diamter is 6 yd and slant height is 10 yds...what is the volume?
I know v=pi*r squared * height ....radius is half of diamter which would be 3...so it's 3.14 * 9 *height...I am stuck
-----------
If you mean a right cone:
Find the height. It's a right triangle, slant ht = hypotenuse, 1 side = r
10%5E2+=+3%5E2+%2B+h%5E2
h+=+sqrt%2891%29
----
Vol+=+pi%2Ar%5E2%2Ah%2F3+=+pi%2A9%2Asqrt%2891%29%2F3
Vol+=+pi%2A3%2Asqrt%2891%29
==================
If you mean a cylinder:
Vol+=+pi%2Ar%5E2%2Aslant+height+=+90pi
