Question 881382: this has been answered partially on this site already.
Question 764589: Triangle ABC is similar to Triangle DEF. Triangle ABC is significantly larger than Triangle DEF. The triangles are drawn seperately but one can tell that angle A is matched with D, angle B is matched with E and angle C is matched with F. For Triangle ABC, the measure of angle A is 40 degrees. Angles B and C are not provided. Segment AB is 30, segment AC is 20 and segment BC is not provided. For Triangle DEF, the measure for angles D and E are not provided and the measure of angle F is 77 degrees. Segments DE and EF are not provided and segment DF is 8.
The question is in two parts 1. What is the measure of angle B? SHOW YOUR CALCULATIONS! 2. What is the measure of side DE? SHOW YOUR CALCULATIONS!
angle B = 63
side DE = 12
SHOW CALCULATIONS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
I dont know how to show the work for this. Im terrible with angles.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Just use basic similarity rules.

Angle C = angle F = 77 deg
Angle B = 180 - 40 - 77 = 63 deg

Also, AB/AC = DE/DF. Substituting all known values, 30/20 = DE/8 --> DE = 12.
