You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x, original tea price
y, original sugar price
Units as Rs. per Kilogram

Original Cost:
2x%2B3y=39

Increased Prices:
2%285%2F4%29x%2B3%286%2F5%29y=48.30

If the proportion fractions make sense, then you are ready to simply solve the system for x and y.

2kg of tea and 3kg of sugar together costs Rs.39. the price of tea has risen by 25% and that of sugar by 20% hence the same quantities of tea and sugar now cost Rs.48.30. find the original price of tea per kg?
let cost of 1 kg tea is Rs x cost of sugar is Rs y
as per given condition 1
2X +3Y =39 (1)
as per condition 2 price increase 25% and 20% respectively
1.25(2x) + 1.2(3y) = 48.30
2.50x + 3.6 Y =48.30 multiply by 10 for simplification of equation
25x + 36Y = 483 (2) multiply (1) by 25 and (2) by 2 for solution
50x +75Y = 975 (3)
50x + 72 Y = 966 (4) subtracting
3y=9
Y= 3
substituting value of Y in (1)
2x +3y =39
2x +9=39
2x=30
X=30/2=15
Answer
cost of 1 kg tea is Rs 15
cost of 1 kg sugar is Rs 3
