here eq.(i);y=2x-1
or,2x-y=1---------(iii)
Now,substracting eq iii from eq ii
3x-y=-1
2x-y= 1

lastly putting x=-2 in eq. i we get; y=2x-1
or, y=2*-2-1
or, y=-4-1
or y=-5
