You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Remember that a%2Fb=c%2Fd means that ad=bc.
Likewise, 4%2F%28x%2B4%29=+5%2F%28x-1%29 means that 4%28x-1%29+=+5%28x%2B4%29+. This is easy to solve!
4%28x-1%29+=+5%28x%2B4%29+
4x-4+=+5x%2B+20

Subtract 4x from each side:
4x-4-4x+=+5x%2B20+-4x
-4+=+x%2B20

Subtract 20 from each side:
-4-20=x%2B20-20
x=-24

Check the answer by substituting the value into the original equation:
4%2F%28x%2B4%29=+5%2F%28x-1%29
4%2F%28-24%2B4%29=+5%2F%28-24-1%29
4%2F-20=+5%2F-25
-1%2F5=-1%2F5 It checks!!
