Question 879833: A collection of 22 laptops include six defective laptops. If a sample of three laptops is randomly chosen from the collection, what is the probability that at least one laptop will be defective?
1-P(16/3 divided by 22/3)
I get .273, but I have been told that the answer is actually .636.
Am I missing something?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The probability that you pick 3 nondefective laptops is (16/22)*(15/21)*(14/20) = 0.3636

So the probability that at least 1 is defective is 1 - 0.3636 = 0.6364

Round that to 3 decimal places to get 0.636
