You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8x^3-3x^2+16x-6 [factor using GROUPING]
(x^2)(8x-3)+ (2)(8x-3) [re-factor]
(x^2+2)(8x-3) [check by multiplying using the FIOL method]

My question is based on factoring special cases. How do you solve this
question?: 8x³ - 3x² + 16x - 6

Out of the first two terms factor out x²

          x²(8x - 3) + 16x - 6

Out of the last two terms factor out 2:

          x²(8x - 3) + 2(8x - 3)

Now observe that the two factors I have colored
red are the same:

          x²(8x - 3) + 2(8x - 3)

So take out that red factor, leaving the blue parts within parentheses:

          (8x - 3)(x² + 2)
