You can put this solution on YOUR website! On my car, a particular brand of tyre lasts 40000 kilometres on a front wheel or 60000 kilometres on a rear wheel.
By interchanging the front and rear tyres, the greatest distance, in kilometres, I can get from a set of four tyres is?
:
This is something I always wondered about on my car. A good time to figure this out.
:
Use something like "tire-miles", with 4 tires:
2(60000) + 2(40000) = 200000 tire-miles available
:
200000/4 = 50,000 miles on a set of tires
