You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm assuming the equation is y+=+4%2F%282x%2B7%29

If so, then set the denominator equal to zero to get 2x%2B7=0 and solve for x to get x+=+-7%2F2

This x value of x+=+-7%2F2 makes the denominator equal to zero.

You CANNOT divide by zero. It is undefined.

So to avoid division by zero, we must restrict that x cannot equal -7%2F2. So we say x+%3C%3E+-7%2F2

Any other real number works for x.

Answer:

The domain is the set of real numbers but x+%3C%3E+-7%2F2
