You can put this solution on YOUR website! Two angles are complementary. One-half the measure of the larger angle exceeds one-fourth the measure of the smaller by 30. Find the measure of the angle, the measure of its supplement and the measure of its complement.
-------------------------------
Let one of the angles be "x"; the other is "90-x".
EQUATION:
(1/2)x = (1/4)(90-x)+30
Multiply thru by 4 to get:
2x = (90-x) + 120
3x = 210
x = 70 (measure of one of the angles)
90-x = 20 ( measure of the other angle)
