Ray is 15 years older than Sam and Sam is 12 years older than Bart their ages 42 years how old is each
Lets say Bart is x years old, then Sam would be x+12 years old, and Ray would be x+12+15 years old, add up all ages and solve for x
x+x+12+x+12+15=42
3x+39=45
3x=6
x=2
so Bart is 2 years old
Sam is 2+12=14 years old
Ray is 2+12+15=29 years old
