Lets say Bart is x years old, then Sam is x+15 years old, and Ray is x+15+15=x+30 years old, the sum of ages is 1242 so
x+x+15+x+30=1242
3x+45=1242
3x=1197
x=1197/3
x=399 (I don't think that people live that long but)
Bart is 399 years old
Sam is 399+15=414 years old and
Ray is 399+30=429 years old
