You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=-3x-12
I have to have two pairs in order to graph.. x & y intercept ..
(x,y) , (x,y)
======================
It's a straight line, so 2 points are needed.
Each pair is a point.
y=-3x-12
Pick a value for x and find y
x = 0, y = -12 --> (0,-12)
x = 2, y = -18 --> (2,-18)
---
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
---------
(0,-12) is the y-intercept
If you want the x-intercept, use y=0 and find x
y=-3x-12
0=-3x-12
x = -4 --> (-4,0)
----------
All 3 points are on the straight line.
