Question 876741: Solve each inequality and express the solution set using interval notation.
-3(3x+2)-2(4x+1) is greater or equal to 0.
I have done my math twice and my answer keeps coming up to: [x greater or equal to 0), however the answer in my book says (-x, -8/17].
Here is my work:
-9x-6-8x-2 is greater or equal to 0.
-6+x-2 is greater or equal to 0.
-4+x is greater or equal to 0.
[x is greater or equal to 4). Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source):
PS: the answer you wrote, (-x, -8/17] is confusing notation since it is normally interpreted as the set of real numbers greater than -x, and less than or equal to -8/17.
