Truck's speed is x. Car's speed is x+20.


Truck's time is t. Car's time is t-2.


For the car: 580 = (t-2)*(x+20)


For the truck: 580 = xt.
For the truck: x = 580/t. Plug it into the car equation.


580 = (t-2)* (580/t + 20) = 580+20t - 290/t -40
