1. A home satellite dish is 56cm across and 7cm deep. The cross-section is parabolic in shape.
a. What quadratic function describes the shape of the cross-section of this satellite dish?
b.To the nearest tenth of a centimeter, how deep is the dish 16cm from the edge?
I'm pretty sure there is some kind of formula you'd use to figure this out but I don't know what it is.
