You can put this solution on YOUR website! find amplitude,period,frequency,phase shift, and vertical shift. than graph two periods of the functions for y=cos(x-3pi/2)-1
..
Form of equation for cos function: y=Acos(Bx-C)+D, A=amplitude, period=2pi/B, phase shift=C/B, D=vertical shift.
For given cos function:
Amp;itude=1
B=1
period=2pi/B=2pi
frequency=1/period=1/2pi
C=3pi/2
phase shift=C/B=3pi/2 (shift right)
D=vertical shift 1 unit down
y-intercept:
set x=0
y=cos(x+3pi/2)-1=(0+3pi/2)-1=-1
