You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the perimeter of the square is equal to 4w.
the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to 2l + 2w
l is equal to 5w.
the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to 2*5w + 2w
the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to 12w
the sum of the perimeter is equal to 4w + 12 w = 16w
the sum of the perimeters is equal to 112 cm.
w is equal to 112 / 16 = 7
l is equal to 5 * 7 = 35
perimeter of square is equal to 4*7 = 28
perimeter of rectangle id equal to 2*35 + 2*7 = 70 + 14 = 84.
sum of the perimeters is equal to 28 + 84 = 112.
