You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if the sum of two number is 55. The quotient obtained by dividing the larger number by is smaller number is 2 with the remainder of 7. Find the two numbers
let one number is X and other is Y
as per condition sum is 55 means
X + Y = 55(1)
X=2y+7 (2) by substituting value of x in equation (1)
X +Y = 55\
2y+7 +y =55
3y +7 =55
3y=55-7
3y= 48
y =48/3 = 16
X + y =55
X +16 =55
X =55-16 = 39
Answer 39 and 16
