Question 874004: Will it take longer for a train or a car traveling at 100 mi/hr to stop?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Depends on the mass of each.
Typically larger mass vehicles (oil tanker, train, battleship) take longer to stop than smaller mass vehicles (jet ski, car, sailboat) because larger mass means more kinetic energy to dissipate.
