Question 87393: True or false, the following polar coordinates are multiple representations of the same point: (-5, 7pi/4)(-5, 5pi/4)
i say false but i really dont know....i also dont know if this should be posted somewhere else

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lets think about "normal" Cartesian coordinates like (1,2) and (2,4) and (3,2).

Of these, the first 2 pairs are scalar multiples of each other since multiplying (1,2) by 2 gives the (2,4).

Now looking at your example, the x coordinates are both -5 so we would expect the y coordinates to be the same too if one pair was a scalar multiple (multiple would be 1 in this case) of the other... but the y coordinates are different.

So, i would say the 2 pairs are not multpiles of each other, so FALSE
