Hi
(1/2)(3x + 25) = x + 25
(3/2)x - x = 25 - 12.5
.5x = 13.5
x = 13.5/.5
x = 27, Marla' age, Grandma is = 81

Grandma right now?
=======================================
Now, G = 4M
In 25 years:
G + 25 = 2*(M + 25)
Sub for G
4M + 25 = 2M + 50
2M = 25
M = 12.5
G = 50 now
-------------------------
It's a non-integer answer, because 3 times older is not 3 times as old.
3 times older = 4 times as old.
---
1 times older = 2x as old. If 1x older = 1x as old, then it's not older.
Or,
1 times older = a 100% increase, right? --> 2x as old
