You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Ted paid 40%2Fn dollars for each roll
One dollar more than what he paid is 40%2Fn+%2B+1 dollars
If he sold all but 2 rolls, then he sold n+-+2 rolls
The amount of money he got from selling the n+-+2 rolls
is %2840%2Fn+%2B+1%29%28n+-+2%29
multiplying this out,
40+%2B+n+-+80%2Fn+-+2
n+%2B+38+-+80%2Fn
multiply the first 2 terms by n%2Fn which is 1
n%5E2%2Fn+%2B+38n%2Fn+-+80%2Fn
Now factor
%281%2Fn%29%28n%5E2+%2B+38n+-+80%29 answer
