Question 872684: I need help with this equation, if you can help solve this I would appreciate it. -2(y-4)-(3y-2)=-2-(6y-2)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Distributing the numbers within the parenthesis,
-2y + 4 - 3y + 2 = - 2 - 6y + 2
Combining the like terms,
-5y+6=-6y
Adding 5y on both sides, we get
6=-y
Multiplying both sides by -1,
-6=y
or, y=-6 is the required solution.
