We have three numbers x, y, z
1) x + 5x + x - 12 = 51
7x = 63
x = 9, y = 45, z = -3
2) x + 2x-3 = 18
3x = 21
x = 7, y = 11
3) x + x+1 + x+2 = 4x - 12
3x + 3 = 4x - 12
x = 15
three consecutive integers are 15, 16, 17
note that 15 + 16 + 17 = 48 and
4 times 15 minus 12 = 48
