Question 872000: Find the probability of achieving success with each of the events below.
1) drawing an ace from a deck of cards
2) rolling a die twice in a row and getting two threes
3) from a bag containing 3 blue, 2 red, and 5 white marbles. Pulling out a red marble.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1)there are 4 aces in the deck, therefore probability of drawing an ace is 4/52 = 1/13
2) probability of rolling a three with a die is 1/6 and the probability of rolling two threes in a row is 1/6 times 1/6 = 1/36
these are two independent events so you multiply their probabilities
3) there are 2 red and a total of 10 marbles, therefore
probability of pulling a red marble is 2/10 = 1/5
