Question 871214: Using the Method of Elmination solve the system of linear equations.
x - 2y + z = 8
2x - 6y - 11z = 4
3x - 6y + 10z = 6
I consistently keep finding myself to be stuck after i find the z variable ( which is 8/7) Need help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi
I. x - 2y + z = 8
2x - 6y - 11z = 4
11x - 22y + 11z = 88 I. x11
2x - 6y - 11z = 4
13x -28y = 92 ***
-10x + 20y -10z = -80 I. times(-10)
3x - 6y + 10z = 6
-7x + 14y = -74
13x -28y = 184
-14x + 28y = -148 x2
13x -28y = 92 ***
-x = -56
x = 56, y = 159/7 and z = -18/7
