: Create a table of values for the following logarithmic functions and graph:
a. f(x)=log(subscript)4(x+3)
b. f(x)=log(subscript)4x+3
I repeatedly get the wrong graphs for each equation. Frustrated.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You may be getting the wrong answer because you are supposed to be using log base 4. To convert, remember the formula
log%284%2Cx%29+=+%28ln+x%29%2F%28ln+4%29+. You can probably use a calculator too.

Is this what you meant?? Do you have the answers?
a. f%28x%29=log%284%2C%28x%2B3%29%29+, so f%28x%29+=%28ln%28x%2B3%29%29%2Fln%284%29+
b. f%28x%29=log%284%2Cx%29+%2B+3, so f%28x%29+=%28ln+x%29%2F%28ln+4%29+%2B+3+

Graphing, this is what I got:
a. graph+%28300%2C300%2C+-10%2C10%2C-10%2C10%2C+%28ln%28x%2B3%29%29%2Fln%284%29%29+

b. graph+%28300%2C300%2C+-10%2C10%2C-10%2C10%2C+%28ln+%28x%29%29%2F%28ln+%284%29%29+%2B+3%29+
