This is simply the basic uniform rate equation for task or job completion. Rate times Time equals Job. Both expressions equated are equal to 1 job, "the work". Notice r is a factor on both sides of the equation. Just solve for n, the number of workers needed for completing the job in 18 days.

10=n*2
n=10/2=5
