Look at those denominators.

2x-8=2%28x-4%29

x%5E2-24x-8 is not factorable. (assumption, 24x).

x%2B2 is linear binomial and not factorable.

The simplest common denominator would be highlight_green%282%28x-4%29%28x%2B2%29%28x%5E2-24x-8%29%29.
Note that I have assumed you forgot the x factor on the middle term in the trinomial denominator.

Multiply left and right members by 2%28x-4%29%28x%2B2%29%28x%5E2-24x-8%29; this will allow you to clear the denominators and then proceed to simplify the equation.
