2x%3C5x-13%2B1 Add 1 to both sides.


2x-5x%3C-13%2B1 Subtract 5x from both sides.


-3x%3C-13%2B1 Combine like terms on the left side.


-3x%3C-12 Combine like terms on the right side.


x%3E%28-12%29%2F%28-3%29 Divide both sides by -3 to isolate x. note: Remember, the inequality sign flips when we divide both sides by a negative number.
