x%5E2+%2B5x+%2B+4+=+x%5E2+%2B+6x+%2B+9+
add -x%5E2 to each side
5x+%2B+4+=+6x+%2B+9+
add -5x to each side
4 = x + 9
add -9 to each side
-5 = x
